Introduction:
In my practice, I am culturally sensitive, open minded, and non-judgmental. I’ve worked with people struggling with relationship issues, social acceptance, identity, integration into their communities, among others. Many struggles begin with the challenge of accepting yourself for who you are and where you come from.
My primary theoretical orientation is Narrative therapy. You are the main character in your story and I strive to help guide you to take back your power and write your own story so that you may find healing and peace. I incorporate a variety of other techniques that include CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, narrative therapy, and others.
People seek therapy for guidance, understanding, and relief. During our sessions we’ll work on building rapport and skill building to apply in your everyday interactions. We’ll take a look at your thought process, emotions, actions, and behaviors in the present moment. I look forward to building a collaborative relationship.
