Introduction:
Navigating significant life transitions can feel overwhelming and isolating. My focus is on supporting adults through these pivotal moments of change, helping you find your footing in a new landscape. This includes working through the complex emotions of grief, whether from the loss of a loved one, a career, or a life you once knew. We can also explore the shifts in relationships, whether you're navigating a separation, adjusting to an empty nest, or seeking to redefine your connections. Furthermore, I provide a space for those taking on the role of a caregiver, helping you manage the emotional weight, stress, and identity changes that come with this profound responsibility. Together, we'll work to process these changes, develop new coping strategies, and cultivate a sense of resilience as you move forward.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep sense of compassion and a belief in the inherent resilience of every individual. Together we will gently and curiously investigate the challenges you're facing, helping you to connect with your inner wisdom and strengths. We will listen deeply, focusing not just on the words you use, but on the emotions, experiences, and unspoken stories that lie beneath the surface, looking to uncover the patterns and insights needed for meaningful change. I'll support you in exploring new perspectives, developing self-compassion, and building practical skills to navigate life's difficulties. The goal is to help you move from a place of feeling stuck to one of empowered self-discovery, allowing you to create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
With a career that has been deeply shaped by life's most profound moments, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. For 16 years, I had the privilege of working in hospice, where I walked alongside individuals and families facing end-of-life journeys. This experience taught me the immense power of presence, compassion, and finding meaning even in the most challenging circumstances. After my time in hospice, I spent 9 years at home with my own children. This period taught me firsthand about the beautiful, and often difficult, transitions within family life. Both of these experiences have fueled my passion to help people navigate difficult circumstances, whether they involve loss, family changes, or simply the complexities of everyday life. My journey has shown me that within every challenge lies an opportunity for growth and a deeper understanding of ourselves. I look forward to walking with you on your journey to wholeness.
