Introduction:

Hi!

I spent much of my childhood here in Phoenix, attending North High School in Central Phoenix. Growing up with both parents suffering from substance use, I became fascinated with why and how addiction happens. I began my work as a therapist 10 years ago in South Phoenix with an intensive outpatient program for teens and their families. In the program, I specialized in substance abuse treatment, adverse childhood trauma, and other mental health concerns using group, individual and family therapy modalities. I transitioned into a Supervisory role in 2018, while continuing to work with a small caseload of people. Over the years in my leadership role I have continued to find that my passion lies with working with people on the road to recovery and healing. I believe that therapy can change the outcome of lives; and I recognize that interpersonal skills and the therapeutic alliance are the foundation of change for people and families. Using humor in my approach to therapy is important to help people feel comfortable being themselves! Helping each person create a life worth living is the ultimate goal. In my free time, I spend time with my 3 dogs and husband, practice Taekwondo, and travel.
